STEPANAKERT. – Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan dismissed Georgy
Petrosyan from the post of Karabakh Foreign Minister according to his
own request.
Deputy FM Vassily Atajanyan was appointed an acting FM, President’s

Georgy Petrosyan was appointed an adviser of Nagorno Karabakh
President according to another decree signed by the president.
The
Vatican will co-publish a book with documents and information about
the Armenian genocide. The papers are from the Vatican Secret
Archives, and, to quote Monsignor Sergio Pagano, the clergyman who
runs the archives, “they make me feel ashamed to be a man. Without
faith, they’d make me see only darkness.”

Bureau members are: Vigen Baghoumian (Iran), Hagop Der-Khachadourian
(Canada), Vahan Hovannesian (Armenia), Davit Lokian (Armenia), Hrant
Markarian (Armenia), Levon Mktrchyan (Armenia), Mgrditch Mgrditchian
(Lebanon), Mario Nalbandian (Argentina) and Georgi Petrosian
(Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), from 2011-2015.
At its
first plenary session held Saturday, the ARF Bureau elected Hrant
Markarian as its chairman.
STEPANAKERT—The Armenian
Revolutionary Federation Artsakh Central Committee, issued an announced
Wednesday, on the eve of the June 24 meeting in Kazan between the
presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan mediate by Russia to discuss the
Karabakh-Azerbaijan conflict.
On June
16, a debate entitled "what is the timetable for the (British) Government
for recognizing the Armenian Genocide" presented by Baroness
Shreela Flather took place in the UK House of Lords.

The Turkish “Yeni Cafak” daily newspaper writes that Turkey
has been receiving appreciation from the world for welcoming the Syrian
refugees. The daily newspaper reveals that the US Foreign Ministry has
praised the help Turkey has been offering these refugees. The daily
newspaper states that, the “New York Times”, in its turn, has praised what
Turkey has been doing, and has indicated that Turkish Prime Minister
Erdogan is a role model for leaders across the globe.
Turkish “Today’s Zaman” daily newspaper
revealed additional details about the meetings Syrian President Bashar
Assad’s special envoy, Hasan Turkmani, had in Turkey. The daily newspaper
pointed out that both Turkish Prime Minister and Foreign Minister have
individually informed Turkmani, that Turkey cannot tolerate the promises
Syria has been giving about finding reforms in Syria.
WASHINGTON–A bipartisan group of U.S. legislators are
set to introduce two resolutions in support of a truthful and just
resolution of the Armenian Genocide, including a new measure specifically
pressing Turkey to fully respect the rights of Christians to practice
their faith in freedom, including through the rightful return of
confiscated churches to Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians, Pontians, Arameans (Syriacs)
and other Christians communities, reported the Armenian National Committee
of America.
The Armenian
Revolutionary Federation Western US Central Committee’s public relations
office has announced that four commemorative stamps have been issued to
mark the ARF’s 120th anniversary.
The stamps have also been
approved by the US Postal Service and may be used to send regular mail.
The committee has also
published a brochure and envelopes to accompany each stamp, with a brief
description of the images and their historic significance.

Treaty of Sevres
Following WWI,
the representatives of the newly born Armenian Republic and the Turkish
Government negotiated the Treaty of Sevres. This was the agreed upon
border.
